Galway University Hospital Merlin Park 2009/10

What to do about history in a place which won’t allow things accumulate? In an attempt to make bravery, joy, mischief visible, a series of hospital regulation pillowcases were embroidered with information gathered from visiting men and women who had recently had a stroke. The appropriated bedlinnen has been returned to the ward that the information came from. The project was funded by the Arts Council’s Artist in the Community scheme.

So tired of all the darkness in our lives

Things that can happen in a vacuum

Hot furniture

An archeology of things not old enough to be interesting

Lightness V Heaviness

A corner of the world
